Today, visit the Arenal Volcano National Park, an iconic volcano! We’ll trek for about 1.2 miles through different scenarios. You will also find an incredible viewpoint close to the volcano where you’ll find yourself stepping on lava flows turned into stone and views of the Arenal Lake and the landscape around as no other spot in the area. Your nature guide will share with you catching and interesting information about the place, the hiding fauna among the trees and bushes and of course about this impressive volcano. Continue with a visit to the refreshing thermal hot springs. You will enjoy a site with hot springs and thermal waters coming from a nearby volcano, with dinner included. Breakfast and time to leave La Fortuna to continue to the highlands of Monteverde. This the most adventurous and faster way to reach Monteverde. You will be picked up at your hotel and will be transferred to the dam in Lake Arenal where you will enjoy a 30-45 minutes boat journey to the opposite side of the lake enjoying great views of Arenal volcano and the unspoiled and tropical Lake Arenal. The “Paramo” is a unique highland area that develops in altitudes higher than 3,000 meters above sea level (9,840 feet approx.); an ecosystem that develops in the summits with its singular flora and fauna. In Costa Rica, the Paramo is located mainly along the Talamanca Mountain Range, especially Cerro de la Muerte, Chirripó, Kamuk, Buena Vista and Cerro Vueltas. This tour will take you to the Paramo at Cerro de la Muerte, at an altitude of 3,300 meters above sea level (10,800 ft) to discover, with your tour guide, the variety of birds and plants that reside here.
