Day 1: Welcome to Panama and transfer to Hotel
On your arrival at the airport in Panama City (PTY), our driver will welcome you and will transfer you to your hotel. Transfer time 30m approx.~ Overnight at Hotel Central 4* for two nights – 1 Deluxe room. Meals: None
Day 2: Miraflores Locks Backstage VIP Tour & Casco Antiguo
This morning we will take you to visit the Miraflores Locks to enjoy a Backstage VIP tour. You will enjoy an exclusive 2 hours’ tour through the 4 exhibition rooms with explanation and personalized attention use of hearing aids. There is an exclusive presentation in the theater of the CVM to see the movie of the canal. Then, we take you to the east wall of the Miraflores Locks with the control box in the background for a photograph taken by you. Following this very interesting tour, we take you to visit the Casco Viejo. You will feel set back in time as you see the lovely colonial houses, the narrow roads and the impressive churches. You will get a good idea about Panama’s history by driving or walking through the main attractions of this quarter. Many buildings that were abandoned for a long time are currently under complete remodeling and your guide will point out the process. Overnight at Hotel Central 4* – 1 Deluxe room. Meals: B
Day 3: Transfer to Portobelo
This morning, our driver will meet you at your hotel for a private transfer to Portobelo to meet the boat transfer to your hotel. Time at leisure upon arrival. Transfer time: 2 hours approx. Overnight at El Otro Lado Resort 4* for two nights – 1 Suite. Meals: B
Day 4: At leisure in your resort
Day at leisure at El Otro Lado. You may visit the nearby beaches of La Huerta and Puerto Frances. A cultural visit to the San Fernando fort, trekking and use of kayaks and Stand-up are included in rates. Overnight at El Otro Lado Resort 4* for two nights – 1 Suite. Meals: B
Day 5: Flight to David and transfer to Boquete
Today, a representative from El Otro Lado hotel will transfer you in boat to Portobelo, where you’ll met our driver for the transfer to domestic Airport to take a local flight to David Airport. On arrival, a private transfer will bring you to the small mountain village of Boquete. Flight duration: 1 hour approx. / Transfer David Airport to Boquete: 1 hour approx. Overnight at Hotel Panamonte 4* for two nights – 1 Terrace Suite. Meals: B
Day 6: The Pipeline Trail Hike and Zip line adventure
This morning, enjoy trekking through remote virgin cloud forests. The Pipeline Trail is an easy-moderate hike that takes through the cloud forest and passes through two micro-climates, has various small wildlife, and is one of the best areas for the chance to see the Resplendent Quetzal, as well as numerous other birds. Duration: 3-4 hours approx. ~ Difficulty: Easy Later, glide through the treetops of century-old forests, high above the pristine rivers and waterfalls that make up the incredible collection of natural landscapes bordering the National Park La Amistad and the famous Baru volcano in this fun tour. The zipline has a length of 2 miles (3 km.) and it is divided into 12 cables and 14 platforms built in the middle of the cloud forest. With 3 kilometers in total length divided into 12 different zip line cables, you will glide through trees to encounter canopy flora and wildlife. A “adrenaline rush” experience! Duration: 4 hours approx. ~ Difficulty: Easy to moderate. Overnight at Hotel Panamonte 4*– 1 Terrace Suite. Meals: B
Day 7: Coffee Tour and Flight to Panama City
Did you know that Panama produces some of the most flavorful coffee in the world? On this tour, not only will you learn about the history of the coffee in Panama but also see the complete process and end with a cupping taste. Each coffee tour is kept small and semi-private for an in-depth and hands-on experience. As you walk the fields you will learn about growing and processing of the coffee plants. You will also visit the roasting house where you will sample different roasts to determine your preference. Some days include a full hands-on roasting experience, where you can make a bag of your custom flavor to purchase if you like! Take part in the process of bringing coffee from the cherry to the cup during an intimate in-depth and hands-on experience at a coffee estate along the beautiful slopes of Volcan Baru. Duration: 4 hours approx. ~ Difficulty: Easy. Following your coffee tour, we transfer you to the airport in David to take a domestic flight back to Panama City. Upon arrival, we will provide transfer to your hotel. Overnight at Hotel Central 4* for two nights – 1 Deluxe room. Meals: B
Day 8: Transfer to Tocumen Airport
Depending on your flight schedule, our driver will meet you at the lobby of your hotel and will transfer you to the international airport Tocumen to take your flight back home. Transfer time 30 minutes approx.~ Come back soon to enchanting Panama!
