Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica and transfer to Hotel
On your arrival at the airport in San Jose (SJO), our driver will welcome you and will transfer you to your hotel. Transfer time 45m approx.~ Overnight at Hotel Grano de Oro 4* for one night – 1 Standard room. Meals: None
Day 2: Flight to Puerto Jimenez and transfer to Osa Peninsula
Today we will transfer you to San Jose airport to board your domestic flight to Puerto Jimenez in the Osa Peninsula. Upon arrival, we transfer you to Lapa Rios, a luxurious property set amidst a vast area of primary and secondary rainforest. Enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime rainforest adventures, wildlife encounters and ocean activities, all this while enjoying the permanent tranquillity of nature… Overnight at Lapa Rios 4* sup for three nights – 1 Standard room. Meals: B, L, D
Day 3: Activities and leisure time in Osa Peninsula
Thanks to its privileged beach and stunning location, there are lots of activities both on the sea and land that you can do while staying at Lapa Rios. The following activities are included in rates: Early and Sunset Bird tours, Wild Waterfall, Local Medicine hike, Rain Forest Ridge Walk, Osa Trail, Matapalo Tour, Night Walk, and “Twigs, Pigs and Garbage” (One activity per day). Overnight at Lapa Rios 4* sup – 1 Standard room. Meals: B, L, D
Day 4: Activities and leisure time in Osa Peninsula
Thanks to its privileged beach and stunning location, there are lots of activities both on the sea and land that you can do while staying at Lapa Rios. Day 5: Transfer to Perez Zeledon
Enjoy a delicious breakfast in this stunning environment. Then, it’s time to continue to one of the country’s last hidden havens: Pérez Zeledón, a traditional agricultural town, and now, a mandatory stop in the country’s destination circuit. The experience includes a glamping style luxury property: Kinkara Retreat which is located at the foot of Mount Chirripó. Transfer time 3 hours 30 minutes approx.~ Overnight at Kinkara Luxury Retreat 4* for two nights – 1 Signature Tent. Meals: B
Day 6: Horseback riding tour
Explore Kinkara by horse with an experienced naturalist guide on a ride through our Food Forest, down to our waterfall, or all the way up to El Mirador, our viewpoint which looks out across the vast Valle del General. Enjoy the natural beauty of our surroundings as you pass through our farm, learning about the area’s flora and fauna along the way, and about sustainable cattle farming practices in Costa Rica. An authentic experience inspired by local traditions. Afternoon at leisure to relax in this wonderful, natural sanctuary. Overnight at Kinkara Luxury Retreat 4* – 1 Signature Tent. Meals: B
Day 7: Transfer to Manuel Antonio
Breakfast and private transfer to Manuel Antonio located in the Pacific Ocean. Transfer time: 2 hours approx.~ Famous for its National Park, the bustling little town of Manuel Antonio is located on the central Pacific coast of Costa Rica, very close to Quepos, known for its sport fishing and lively atmosphere. The region is a treasure for its biodiversity, attracting nature lovers, eco-travelers and adventurers. In addition, visitors can enjoy white sands and perfect waters... Time at leisure to enjoy the beautiful and private beach! Overnight at Arenas del Mar Resort 4* sup for three nights – 1 Ocean Breeze Superior room. Meals: B
Day 8: Ocean Kayaking & Snorkeling
Enjoy a tour that takes you to explore the marine wildlife of Quepos area. You will paddle a kayak for approximately 2 ½ hours (roundtrip), during your nautical journey you will navigate past islands where you can observe uncountable marine birds and their nesting grounds. Half way through your trip, you will stop at a beautiful hidden bay - Biesanz Bay - to rest and enjoy a refreshing snack. During the break, you can snorkel on this secluded coastline or just have a rest. Water visibility depends on the season. You are most likely to spot parrotfish, starfish, angelfish and if you are lucky a sea turtle or too! Upon returning to the pier, you’ll head back to base camp to enjoy lunch. Day 9: At leisure in Manuel Antonio
Day at leisure to enjoy the amenities of your hotel. There are plenty of optional fun, nature activities on land and water to choose! You may go for a walk in the trails of the beautiful Manuel Antonio National Park, enjoy a relaxing cruise, “fly” in the canopy tree top with the zip line adventure and more. Day 10: Transfer to San Jose Intl. Airport
Depending on your flight schedule, we transfer you to the Intl. Airport in San Jose to take your flight back home. Transfer time 3 hours approx. ~ End of services. Come back soon to Costa Rica, Pura Vida!
